Wedding! Shanee and Brandon, May 25th

I actually was only a second shooter/assistant at this wedding. La Bella Vita Photography (D.J. Ellis....www.lbvphoto.com) was the hired photographer....he actually shot my wedding and is just spectacular. In fact, I would say he has been my photography mentor....taught me almost all I know! I just was along for the ride to try and get some extra shots.  This wedding was fantastic and breathtaking. The home where the ceremony took place had a pond with a bridge and tons of willow trees just in the backyard. The reception at Fort Washington was superbly put together by Tina Moran at Watermark Events and of course, as every good party does, this wedding had a photo booth for guests to hop in and take pictures of themselves wearing crazy garbs and post them in a scrapbook for the bride and groom to have. D.J. and I had to get in on the fun too! And to explain the picture of dad grabbing mom's boobs....well, let's just say that Shanee is their only child and it was a VERY happy day for the two of them.....why not go all out? :)

Wedding! Ashley and Jason, May 24th

I met Ashley and Jason through my friend Amy Sherfy (now Camany) who I have known since the 5th grade. Ashley and Amy met when they both worked at the ever popular corn dog joint, Hot Dog on a Stick. Amy referred these two crazy kids to me as their wedding photographer. It was a great day.....despite the wind and the cold weather (but at least it didn't rain!). Of course, the dark and cloudy sky DID make for some great pictures! Overall, the wedding was gorgeous, the guests were all a blast (especially the one we found at the end of the night passed out on the hood of his car....you know who you are!). I am really glad I was able to capture their special day.....and did I mention their son is oh-so-adorable? Well, it's true.......and Jason has two beautiful daughters who made for some great flower girls. And the photo of that gentleman passed out on the hood of his car......well, he had a fun evening and I suppose he needed a nap.
Congrats you guys!
And of course, thanks to Jason Robbins who has become my very favorite photographer to work with. We pretty much rock.

Valerie and Bo are engaged!

So, I think Valerie and Bo thought I was a little strange at first when I told them I wanted to go to a cemetery to take some of their engagement pictures. Who wouldn't be a bit hesitant? But when I explained to them that it was thematic and that the pictures would be representing (in a positive light) the death of their single lives, they totally went for it. In the end, the cemetery shots ended up being some of their favorites. Go figure! Anyway, we had a really fun day taking pictures and I just love hanging out with these cool kids..........can't wait for their wedding.
